About This Opportunity

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts provides emergency grants to professional artists in dance, music/sound, performance art/theater, poetry, and visual arts who have unexpected, career-threatening emergencies. Grants of up to $3,000 can cover medical bills, studio disasters, equipment loss, and other crises. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis with fast turnaround. Founded by Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg in 1963.
